Is it more than a coincidence that 2 Daggett men lived near Willard Barnes in Wood County, Ohio and in Illinois, and that a Joshua Barnes married Amelia Daggett in New Haven CT in 1805?
There are children listed in Rootsweb for this couple, so it's not Willard's father Joshua, but maybe it's a relation? I couldn't find any relation, but it's still on my list of leads.

7 or 8 sisters of Willard Barnes
Does anyone have evidence of 8 sisters of Willard Barnes (Joshua Barnes's daughters)?
The family history claimed that he came to Ohio with 7 sisters and a half-sister.
I can only account for 7 girls:
Juliana
Ascenath (Asenath, Aseneth) "Cynthia"
Anna
Amerilla
Laura J
Sarah Elizabeth
Elizabeth (married Asel Dagget, possibly the step sister?)

Intro to the Joshua Barnes 1784 blog.
I started this blog because I followed the Blogger links from another blog, and this is the first subject that came to mind. I don't expect a wide following, but I hope that any descendants of Joshua, or any one with any interest, follows and contributes.
Joshua Barnes, b. 1784 (or so), is my gggg grandfather, and the husband of Ann Wiltse.
There are several family databases on Rootsweb that include him, but no one seems to know who his parents were. I've been looking on and off for about 5 years.
You can see more info at my webpage ThisLittlePage.
I intend to post whatever genealogical avenues I happen to be working on, with the hope that someone googling the same topic might see my post and respond.
Thanks for reading!
